Velociraptor mongoliensis

Anatomy Illustration and Design © 2026 Liz Masters. Velociraptor was a feathered dromaeosaur about 2 m (6.5 ft) long and weighing roughly 15–20 kg (33–44 lb). It lived in the arid deserts of Central Asia during the Late Cretaceous, about 75–71 million years ago. It is known for its sickle-shaped claw.
